The carbon footprint of intensive care is massive: each day that a patient with sepsis is in the ICU is equivalent to driving over 400 km. Each MDI inhaler is over 200 km! What can we do to make ICU care more sustainable? This ICU OnePager outlines strategies including changes in formulary, equipment, food, waste, and other best practices where we can make our ICU’s greener!
