Neuromuscular blockers (NMBs) can be a useful adjunct to improve oxygenation and (maybe) reduce mortality in severe ARDS. There are numerous benefits to early mobility in the ICU, such as improved functional status after discharge, reduced incidence of delirium, earlier liberation from mechanical ventilation, and lower risk of VAP, CLABSI & CAUTI.

This flipbook adopts the Johns Hopkins Mobility scale into a format that is easy to hang on doorways and encourages a shared mental model about patient mobility. Print onto 8 sheets of paper, laminate, and place on rings outside the patient’s room. Now everyone can understand the level of mobility achieved by that day.
